About The FirstFound Blog
Imagine if you had a team of experts who’d been cornering the UK SEO consultancy market for over a decade. Imagine then, that these experts clubbed together and decided that they were going to put together a blog to share their collective wisdom with the masses. What you’re imagining is something a bit like The FirstFound Blog.
FirstFound are a Manchester-based SEO consultancy who’ve been in business since 1999, and this is the company blog. We could spend the next few paragraphs waxing lyrical about who FirstFound are and the work we do, but that’s already been done on the FirstFound website. Instead, we’ll take this opportunity to introduce you to some of the finest SEO minds in the country. The FirstFound Bloggers.
About The Bloggers
Chris Bellamy
Quite simply, the boss.
David Saunders
It’s a game of two halves, it ain’t over till it’s over and the ball’s in your court. If you need a sporting cliché to go, then Dave’s your star player. The FirstFound Blog’s sports writer, Dave has a wealth of football knowledge gained from watching Manchester United from an armchair. When he’s not reading the 606 Football Forums, he has been known to dabble in SEO.
Richard Hassall
You couldn’t have a search-related blog without an AdWords expert, and Richard fills that role to perfection for The FirstFound Blog. A key member of our PPC team, Richard probably has a huge list of exciting and amazing hobbies that would thrill and enthrall you. He won’t tell us though – probably because he sees enough of us at work.
Aron Draper
Aron is undoubtedly and undisputedly The FirstFound Blog’s PHP expert. Some say he studied the arcane art of PHP coding from a wise guru in a Himalayan monastery. Some say he just has a small book entitled “PHP For Dummies” in his top drawer. Whatever the truth is, hard house hedonist Aron’s lips are sealed. As is his double-locked top drawer.
Andrew Nattan
Tall, handsome, debonair (and in charge of writing these biographies) Andy is The FirstFound Blog’s resident SEO Copywriter. When he’s not tweaking keyword densities, redrafting titles or generally being an SEO mastermind, Andy likes to pretend he spends his evenings poring over his novel. In reality, he sits round in his underwear drinking cheap liquor and shouting at the TV.
Adam Ramsden
Lawrence Llewellyn-Bowen (or “Adam” to his friends) is The FirstFound Blog’s resident pretentious web designer. He’s the only person in the whole office allowed felt tips at his desk, and submits blog entries in green crayon. When he’s not drawing pretty pictures of websites, Adam likes to kick people under the pretence of playing football.
Andrew Dutson
Andrew may have the look and demeanour of a mid-90’s guitarist, but he has the mind of a true WordPress wizard. He’s in charge of keeping The FirstFound Blog functioning, so when a widget crashes your browser or a plug-in sets your monitor on fire, direct all complaints to him.
David Smythe
As well as owning one of The FirstFound Blog’s worst haircuts, Dave is in possession of some serious web development and coding skills. It’s not all SEO and site structures though, as when David gets home it’s straight back on the PC where he gets to live out his dreams as a Night Elf Shaman on World of Warcraft.
Martin Topping
Martin is The FirstFound Blog’s div extraordinaire. Sorry, we mean that when it comes to scrolling divs, Martin’s done some really impressive work. A man with a truly unique world view, Martin spends so much on insuring his car and making sure that it’s securely parked, that he can’t afford to drive it. Surprisingly though, he’s a bit of an SEO prodigy.
Roger Davies
It’s been rumoured that Roger’s spent so much time staring at code that he sees only in binary. As one of The FirstFound Blog’s web development virtuosos, Roger can and will wax lyrical about PHP, SQL and the perils of home winemaking until you politely ask him to stop.
Steven Ryan
When The FirstFound Blog needs an image that perfectly captures an emotion, concept or embarrassing Christmas Party clinch, they turn to Steven Ryan. Having filled dozens of digital albums with his work, Steven likes to relax by wearing skin-tight lycra and getting on his bike. Rumours that he can cycle and use his camera simultaneously are as yet unfounded.
