The strike is due to the Pay and Modernisation deal signed in 2007. The issue basically being due to “absorption”, bullying and harassment, concerns over health and safety and inflexible practices being imposed by management. Despite my sympathy over these issues within a workplace, I can not help feeling the situation has got massively out of hand and has not been handled adequately by the Government.
