YouTube Add “Fun” New Feature

If you’re casually browsing YouTube today, and see a small football shaped button, don’t press it.

For reasons known only to themselves, YouTube have added a “Vuvuzela Button” to a seemingly random selection of videos. And should you push that button, you’ll be treated to a cacophony of vuvuzela noise.

You’ll get the full South African football experience too, as the vuvuzela doesn’t respond to YouTube’s volume controls. It’s either on, or it’s off. Experience the horror for yourself here.

This isn’t the only place that the vuvuzela has cropped up.

YouTube Add “Fun” New FeatureIf you take a Google Streetview tour of South Africa, you’ll notice that the “Pegman” has pulled out his own Vuvuzela to join in the festivities. Fortunately though, we’re too far away to hear it.
